Brussels: Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi and European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner discussed the latest regional developments and topics related to Gulf-European ties.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting held in Brussels on Wednesday, both parties emphasized the importance of following up on the outcomes of the statement from the 1st GCC-EU Summit. They agreed on the necessity of holding annual meetings to ensure ongoing joint coordination. Moreover, they explored various proposals aimed at enhancing the relationship between the GCC and the EU.
The European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration reiterated the European Union's supportive stance toward the GCC states concerning Iranian aggressions. He also expressed appreciation for the facilities and services offered by GCC states to aid in the evacuation of European nationals amidst the current crisis.
