Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Safia Al Suhail, Iraqi Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
The secretary general stressed the deep GCC-Iraqi ties, underscoring the importance of bolstering them in all fields.
He congratulated the ambassador on her appointment to her post, wishing her continued success in her new duties.
The meeting discussed topics aimed to cement relations between both sides to serve the mutual interests and to consolidate cooperation.
Albudaiwi reviewed the joint action plan for the period (2019-2024) and the electrical interconnection project.
He added that the stability of Iraq is a priority for the GCC countries.
