Doha: The Ministry of Interior's (MOI) General Traffic Department, in collaboration with the National Traffic Safety Committee, actively participated in the 8th United Nations (UN) Global Road Safety Week by organizing an awareness exhibition at its headquarters to focus on key public safety topics.
According to Qatar News Agency, the MOI announced on Sunday that a series of activities and field visits to various schools were conducted alongside the exhibition. These initiatives included lectures designed to enhance traffic awareness among the youth by introducing them to safety regulations and encouraging responsible behavior on the road.
The UN Global Road Safety Week is held biennially in May, aiming to raise global awareness about the significance of road safety, thus promoting safer roads and reducing traffic-related incidents.
