New york: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with HE Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Giorgia Meloni and her delegation at the seat of the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing cooperation and friendship between Qatar and Italy in various fields. Both leaders also addressed significant regional and international issues, with particular emphasis on the latest developments in the Gaza Strip.
HE Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni expressed Italy's solidarity and support for Qatar, condemning the Israeli attack as a flagrant violation of international laws and norms. The meeting was also attended by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and other members of the official Qatari delegation.
