Kuala Lumpur: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met with HE Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr. Anwar Ibrahim on the sidelines of the second ASEAN-GCC Summit, held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center in Malaysia. The meeting focused on discussing areas of bilateral cooperation and exploring ways to enhance them across various sectors, particularly in the fields of investment and economy. Both leaders also exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, as well as the topics listed on the Summit agenda.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting was attended by key figures from both nations. From Qatar, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani Al-Thani, and HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, along with several members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir, were present. The Malaysian side included HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohamad Hasan, HE Minister of Investment and Trade Tengku Zafrul, and other high-ranking officials.
