HH the Amir and Slovenian President Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE President of the Republic of Slovenia Natasa Pirc Musar engaged in an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan on Monday. At the outset, HH the Amir extended a warm welcome to HE the President and her delegation, expressing optimism that their visit would enhance cooperation between Qatar and Slovenia across multiple fields.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the President of Slovenia conveyed her gratitude for the hospitality received and emphasized her country's commitment to deepening bilateral relations. She highlighted the significance of the Slovenia-Qatar Business Forum, held alongside her visit, as a symbol of growing cooperation and expressed hope for further expansion in all sectors.

The discussions primarily revolved around strengthening bilateral relations in trade, investment, information technology, and tourism. Both leaders also addressed regional and international issues of mutual concern. The session included HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi, HE Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani, HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, and other senior officials from both sides.

The Slovenian delegation comprised HE State Secretary for Multilateral Affairs, Political and Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Dr. Melita Gabric, HE State Secretary for International Affairs, Entrepreneurship, Development Resources and Tourism at the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport Matevz Frangez, among others. The talks concluded with a bilateral meeting where views on various topics of mutual interest were exchanged.

Following the discussions, HH the Amir hosted a luncheon in honor of HE the President and her delegation. Earlier, HE the President was welcomed with an official reception ceremony at the Amiri Diwan.
