Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, led the Council’s second meeting in 2025 at the Amiri Diwan on Monday. Present at the meeting were HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, who serves as Vice Chairman of the Council, along with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, and other council members.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Council reviewed the decisions and recommendations from the first meeting of 2025 and assessed the project follow-up report. Additionally, the Council was briefed on the progress concerning the country’s economic priorities and made necessary decisions based on the reports presented.
Further discussions included updates on global trade and customs tariffs. The Ministry of Public Health provided insights into the healthcare and social services sector, while the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology presented developments in the information and communications sector. The Council evaluated these presentations and took the appropriate decisions as required.
The meeting concluded with discussions on various agenda items, ensuring that the Council continues to address the economic and investment priorities of the nation effectively.
