Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani hoped that the first summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union will represent a turning point in the bilateral relationship between the two sides, in alignment with the promising cooperation prospects, in addition to bolstering the GCC-EU ties in multiple fields. In a post on his official X account, HH the Amir said that today he participated in the first GCC-EU summit being held to embody the deep-rooted historic relations between the Gulf states and their shared interests. His Highness hoped that such an important global event would represent a turning point in these relations, either through investing in the existing cooperation, or strengthening these ties in alignment with the promising cooperation prospects, as well as enhance the GCC-EU ties in wide-ranging fields.
