According to Qatar News Agency, the gesture reflects the strong relations and goodwill between Qatar and Belize. The congratulatory message is part of a tradition of exchanging well-wishes between leaders on significant national occasions. Belize celebrates its Independence Day annually, marking its independence from British colonial rule in 1981.
