HMC Organizes 2025 Person-Centered Care Middle East Forum in Doha

Doha: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) organized the 2025 Person-Centered Care (PCC) Middle East Forum, held in Doha from 25 to 26 October. The event was attended by HE Minister of Public Health, Mansoor bin Ebrahim bin Saad Al Mahmoud, and HE Managing Director of HMC, Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Suwaidi, along with regional and international healthcare leaders, professionals, and innovators committed to advancing person-centered approaches to healthcare transformation.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Forum was delivered by HMC in partnership with Planetree International, a US-based organization known for promoting person-centered excellence. The Forum is recognized as the region's premier platform for sharing best practices and innovations that focus on placing patients and families at the heart of care. This year's theme, 'Shaping the Future of Care: Innovations in Person-Centered Care,' highlighted how innovation, integration, and inclusivity are reshaping healthcare delivery across systems and communities.

The program featured three key tracks: Person-Centered Digital Transformation, Collaborative Care; Building Partnerships for Better Outcomes, and Care Beyond Boundaries; and Systematic Personalization Across Networks. Throughout the two-day event, speakers and delegates discussed how emerging technologies, collaborative partnerships, and co-designed models of care can enhance patient experience and clinical outcomes.

The Forum showcased HMC's leadership in embedding person-centered care across its network, from pioneering digital tools like the Lbaih mobile app, which allows patients to access and manage their healthcare information via mobile devices, to establishing Qatar's first AI Center of Excellence driving the development of SMART hospital frameworks. Beyond technology, HMC's person-centered approach includes the Person-Centered Care Ambassadors Program, which empowers volunteers from diverse backgrounds to enrich the hospital experience of patients and families through service and interaction.

Another example of HMC's person-centered journey is the Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC), a collaborative group of patients, family members, and caregivers who work with HMC teams to shape programs, services, and initiatives. Through PFAC, the perspectives and experiences of patients directly influence care delivery, ensuring that services truly reflect their needs and expectations.

The 2025 PCC Middle East Forum reaffirmed HMC's position as a regional leader in person-centered healthcare and its mission to deliver compassionate, innovative, high-quality care to patients. The Forum was organized in partnership with Planetree International, with Premium sponsors including the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) and Vectramind. Platinum sponsors were the World Innovation Summit for Healthcare (WISH), The View Hospital, Qatar Charity, Al Siraj Medical Center, Qatar Cancer Society, and Qatar Red Crescent Society. Aman Hospital served as the Diamond Sponsor, while EHSAN was the Gold Sponsor. Silver Sponsors were Reyada Medical Centre and the University of Doha for Science and Technology.
