Doha:The International Energy Agency (IEA) has confirmed that its member states have agreed to expedite the release of around 100 million barrels from their oil reserves. This decision follows a commitment made last March to enhance market supply.
According to Qatar News Agency, The IEA further stated that its Board of Governors is scheduled to meet next week to assess the current situation.
The agency's statement also highlighted that member countries continue to hold reserves totaling approximately 1.1 billion barrels, including over 200 million barrels of diesel. Additionally, there is support among member states for prioritizing the distribution of diesel stocks.
