International Conference on Education and Innovation in Museums Kicks Off in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: The International Conference on Education and Innovation in Museums, themed "Museums: Beacons of Knowledge or Guardians of History?", kicked off Monday in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The two-day conference is being attended by officials, experts, and academics from around the world.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conference aims to formulate future directions for advancing museums within the Saudi cultural landscape, enhancing their role as bridges to knowledge and historical preservation, and as interactive spaces capable of engaging today's audiences and developing new methodologies for learning, research, and creativity.

Its program features five main sessions discussing the following themes: museum establishment, challenges, and opportunities; the role of museums in knowledge development; innovation and technology; cultural identity in global practices; and enhancing community engagement within museums.

A number of influential international and regional figures in the museum sector will also share their expertise in restoration, museum management, and developing the museum education experience during the conference.
