IOF Airstrikes in Gaza Result in Over 17 Civilian Deaths


GAZA CITY: The Israeli occupation forces launched airstrikes on the Bureij refugee camp and Jabalia town in the Gaza Strip early today, resulting in the deaths of at least 17 Palestinian civilians. The attacks primarily affected women and children, leaving several others injured.



According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli fighter jets targeted a residential house in Jabalia, killing at least 15 civilians, most of whom were children. In a separate incident, two more civilians were killed when a house in the Bureij refugee camp was bombed.



The report further stated that Israeli forces destroyed residential buildings in Beit Lahiya town and the Jabalia refugee camp. Additional shelling by Israeli tanks was reported in the northwestern part of Gaza City and the southeastern neighborhoods of the Bureij camp.



Since the onset of the military actions in October 2023, more than 45,541 Palestinian civilians have been killed and over 108,338 have been injured, according to Qatar News Agency. Many victims remain trapped beneath the rubble, with rescue efforts ongoing under challenging conditions.
