Baghdad: Iraqi security forces thwarted a rocket attack targeting a security facility in Kirkuk province, northern Iraq. In a statement on Sunday, the Iraqi military said an intelligence unit, acting on credible information, discovered four newly prepared Katyusha rockets along with their launch platforms, which had been set up to target a security headquarters in Kirkuk. The rockets and launchers were seized and handed over to the relevant authorities.
According to Qatar News Agency, Iraq has faced intermittent attacks amid ongoing regional military escalation, with Iraqi air defenses intercepting dozens of drones and ballistic missiles in its airspace since the escalation began.
