Iraq to Host Third Arab Forum for Tourism Statistics on September 21

Baghdad: Iraq is set to host the Third Arab Forum for Tourism Statistics 2025 on September 21 with a high-level participation from more than 16 Arab and European countries. The forum will bring together representatives from international organizations and United Nations (UN) agencies, including the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the European Union, and the African Union. Global experts in the fields of statistics and tourism will also be present.

According to Qatar News Agency, Ali Yassin, spokesperson for the tourism authority at the Iraqi Ministry of Culture, stated that the forum will focus on the importance of statistics and data digitization in the development and growth of tourism sector resources. These tools are considered effective for advancing economic, social, and cultural sectors.

Yassin also noted that Baghdad will host a conference on inclusive tourist destinations on December 7 and 8, under the sponsorship of the League of Arab States and the UNWTO. This will be followed by the 28th session of the meeting of Arab tourism ministers, scheduled for December 9 in Baghdad.
