Iraqi Prime Minister Engages with US Secretary of Defense on Middle East Security Developments

Doha: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani discussed security developments in the Middle East during a phone call with US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. A statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office said that during the call, both sides reviewed security cooperation within the framework of the international coalition to defeat ISIS. They emphasized the importance of continuing dialogue and cooperation to strengthen the mutual interests between Iraq and the United States, and working together to maintain peace and security in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Iraqi Prime Minister and the US Secretary of Defense also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest.
