Israeli Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon Continue Amid Ceasefire Violations

Beirut: The Israeli army continued its attacks on southern Lebanon today, in yet another violation of the ceasefire agreement signed last April.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli drone targeted the town of Maaroub in the Tyre district, causing multiple injuries. In a related incident, an Israeli airstrike targeted a health center in the town of Deir Qanoun al-Nahr, also in the Tyre district.

Field sources reported that Israeli aircraft launched airstrikes on Nabatieh al-Fawqa, Ain Qana, Kfarjouz, Haboush, and Kfarman. The ceasefire, which began on April 16 for ten days, was extended on April 24 for three weeks, and then extended again on May 15 for an additional 45 days.
