Beirut: Israeli warplanes intensified airstrikes over southern Lebanon on Thursday following threats to target the area. The Lebanese National News Agency reported that an Israeli strike hit homes in the town of Mays al-Jabal with two missiles.
According to Qatar News Agency, Israeli aircraft also carried out a heavy strike on the town of Dibbin and another airstrike targeted a home in Kfar Tebnit, with no reports of casualties so far. A ceasefire agreement in Lebanon came into effect on November 27 last year, stipulating the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from southern border towns and villages within 60 days. The Lebanese government later agreed to extend the deadline until February 18, but Israeli forces remain stationed at five points and continue to commit violations.
