Italy Summons Venezuelan Envoy Over Expulsion of Three Diplomats from Caracas

Doha: Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday summoned Venezuela's charge d'affaires in Rome to protest the arrest of an Italian citizen and the expulsion of three Italian diplomats from Caracas. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani expressed his concerns on social media, highlighting the lack of communication from the Venezuelan authorities regarding the detention and expulsion incidents.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Italian government has taken a strong stance on the issue, emphasizing the need for clarity and transparency from Venezuela. The arrest of Italian citizen Alberto Trentini and the expulsion of the diplomats have strained the diplomatic relations between the two countries. The Italian foreign ministry is seeking immediate explanations and resolutions to these matters.
