Jordan’s King Abdullah Warns Against West Bank Violations

Doha: Jordan's King Abdullah II stated that the kingdom will not accept the continuation of violations in the West Bank, reaffirming the country's firm stance toward the Palestinian cause. This declaration was made during his Speech from the Throne at the opening of the second ordinary session of the 20th Parliament.

According to Qatar News Agency, the King emphasized Jordan's commitment to maintaining the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem. This commitment aligns with Jordan's historic responsibility toward the city. King Abdullah also highlighted Jordan's ongoing efforts to send humanitarian aid and provide field medical services to the people of Gaza amidst the ongoing crisis.

On domestic matters, King Abdullah called for the continued implementation of the economic modernization vision. This initiative aims to sustain growth, launch major projects, attract investment, create jobs, and improve living standards within the kingdom.
