Jordan’s Tourism Revenue Climbs to USD 3.1 Billion in May

Amman: Tourism revenues in Jordan grew by 17.5 percent in May, reaching USD 630 million. This represents a 15.7 percent increase over the first five months of the year, reaching USD 3.057 billion. This was driven largely by a 20.6 percent rise in tourist arrivals.

According to Qatar News Agency, preliminary data released today by the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) also showed an 11.1 percent increase in tourism spending abroad in May, reaching USD 158.3 million. This represents a 12.5 percent increase in the January-May period, reaching a total of USD 804.2 million.
