Doha: Kuwait and Vietnam held their fifth round of political consultations on Monday. The Kuwaiti delegation was led by Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs Sameeh Hayat, while Deputy Foreign Minister for Political and Diplomatic Affairs Nguyen Minh Hang headed the Vietnamese delegation.
According to Qatar News Agency, Hayat mentioned that the political consultations produced positive outcomes, which will influence the follow-up on cooperation areas between the two nations in the upcoming phase. Both sides agreed to enhance and develop joint cooperation through practical measures, focusing on consolidating political trust and enhancing mutual understanding. High-level visits are set to be a priority in the near future.
The discussions encompassed all aspects of bilateral cooperation, including political coordination in international forums. Economic, trade, and investment opportunities were part of the agenda, along with cultural exchange, higher education, and scientific research. Other sectors addressed were civil aviation, petroleum, renewable energy, industry, food security, health, and medical services.
