Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Monday with the All Share Index gaining 9.14 points to reach 8,611.27 points, marking an increase of 0.11 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, the day saw the trading of approximately 885.4 million shares valued at KWD 127.2 million, equivalent to around USD 416.3 million, across 41,488 transactions.
While the overall market saw gains, the Main Market Index experienced a decline of 6.41 points, settling at 7,549.31 points, representing a 0.08 percent decrease. This was achieved through 725.2 million shares traded in 31,735 transactions, with a total value of KWD 75.6 million, or roughly USD 247.4 million.
In contrast, the Premier Market Index rose by 13.46 points to reach 9,301.75 points, reflecting a 0.23 percent increase. This was facilitated through 160.1 million shares traded in 9,753 transactions, valued at KWD 51.6 million, or about USD 168.8 million.
The Main 50 Index, however, saw a decline, losing 41.65 points to settle at 7,534.84 points, marking a 0.55 percent decrease. The trading volume for this index included 479.7 million shares, executed in 18,403 deals, with a total value of KWD 51.9 million, or approximately USD 169.8 million.
