Post: Kuwait Bourse Closes Slightly Lower Amid Mixed Performance

Doha: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday as the All Share Index lost 3.02 points to reach 8,818.26 points, a decrease of 0.03 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the trading session, 346.3 million shares valued at KWD 94.6 million (roughly USD 306 million) were exchanged across 25,780 transactions. The session witnessed a mixed performance with different indices moving in varying directions.

The Main Market Index showed a positive trend, increasing by 20.02 points to reach 8,988.42 points, marking an increase of 0.22 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 193.4 million shares in 13,184 transactions, valued at KWD 39.9 million (roughly USD 129.4 million).

Conversely, the Premier Market Index dropped by 8.08 points, settling at 9,239.72 points, a decline of 0.09 percent. This segment saw 152.9 million shares traded through 12,596 transactions, with a total value of KWD 54.7 million (roughly USD 177.4 million).

Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index experienced a rise, gaining 32.97 points to end at 10,632.25 points, an increase of 0.31 percent. This was supported by the trading of 133.9 million shares through 9,037 deals, valued at KWD 31.3 million (roughly USD 101.5 million).
