Kuwait city: Kuwait has strongly condemned Iranian attacks on Bahrain and Jordan, calling them a violation of the two countries' sovereignty and international law.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, Kuwait's Foreign Ministry said the attacks constituted a "blatant breach" of the sovereignty of Bahrain and Jordan and violated the principles of international law, the UN Charter, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817. The ministry called for an immediate end to "escalating actions" and urged all sides to pursue de-escalation and dialogue.
The statement further emphasized the necessity for respect for international law and the principles of good neighborly relations, noting that these were crucial to protecting regional security and stability and preventing further tension. Kuwait expressed its full solidarity with Bahrain and Jordan and stated its support for measures taken by both countries to protect their sovereignty, security, and stability.
The condemnation from Kuwait comes amid heightened regional tensions, with Gulf and Arab states increasingly calling for restraint and diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.
