Kuwait city: The Kuwait stock market ended Thursday's session marginally lower, with its main index dipping by 3.32 points, or 0.04 percent, to close at 8,913.21.
According to Qatar News Agency, trading activity remained robust, with nearly 397 million shares changing hands across 24,971 transactions, generating a total turnover of KWD 98.9 million (approximately USD 302.6 million).
The Main Market index slipped by 17.94 points, or 0.21 percent, to settle at 8,477.46, as 251.6 million shares were traded in over 15,000 deals worth KWD 40.5 million (around USD 123.5 million).
In contrast, the Premier Market inched up by 0.17 points to 9,462.34. The segment saw 145.2 million shares traded through 9,497 transactions, with a total value of KWD 58.4 million (about USD 178 million).
Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index advanced 37.62 points, or 0.44 percent, to close at 8,663.69, supported by gains in several mid-cap stocks. It recorded 124.7 million shares traded across 8,339 deals worth KWD 25.4 million (roughly USD 77.7 million).
