Kuwait city: HE Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah, held a meeting on Monday with the President of the Qatari and Arab Police Sports Federations, Major General Khalid bin Hamad Al Attiyah, who is currently visiting Kuwait. The discussion focused on enhancing joint cooperation in Arab police sports, developing programs and activities to support security work, and improving sports integration and competency among police members.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting also addressed preparations for the Executive Office meetings and the 49th General Assembly scheduled to take place in Qatar in February. During these meetings, elections for the Executive Office members of the Arab Police Sports Federation for the 2026-2030 term will occur. The discussions underscored the strong fraternal ties between Kuwait and Qatar, emphasizing their commitment to joint Arab cooperation in both security and sports sectors.
At the conclusion of the meeting, HE Kuwaiti Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah presented the Ministry's shield to Major General Khalid Al Attiyah, acknowledging the Arab Police Federation's role in promoting sports activities among Arab police forces. This initiative has positively impacted the fitness and physical competence of security service members. In a reciprocal gesture of appreciation and cooperation, Major General Al Attiyah presented the Arab Federation's shield to the Kuwaiti Minister of Interior.
