According to Qatar News Agency, Lavrov commented on the potential for engagement with the incoming US President Donald Trump's team, highlighting that Russia has always been open to discussions rather than isolation. He expressed confidence that the new US administration would appoint an ambassador to Russia, assuring that Moscow would not obstruct the process. Lavrov also mentioned that the selection process for a new Russian ambassador to the US is proceeding through standard procedures, indicating normal diplomatic operations despite the current state of relations.
