Lebanese Interior Minister Honors Qatari Official for Contributions to Arab Police Sports


BEIRUT: In a ceremony attended by dignitaries and officials in Beirut, the Lebanese Minister of Interior and Municipalities, Judge Bassam Mawlawi, honored Major General Khalid bin Hamad Abdullah Al Attiyah, the President of the Qatar and Arab Police Sports Federations. The event highlighted Al Attiyah’s significant contributions to the development of Arab police sports and the enhancement of cooperation among Arab nations.



According to Qatar News Agency, the ceremony included the presentation of the Medal of the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities to Major General Al Attiyah. This medal was awarded in recognition of his efforts in fostering collaboration through sports among police forces in the Arab region. The gesture was seen as a testament to the strength of ties between Lebanon and Qatar, and the broader Arab world.



Major General Al Attiyah expressed his gratitude for the honor, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation and joint efforts to enhance police sports. He noted that the recognition serves as motivation to further advance initiatives that align with the shared goals of Arab nations in the realm of police and sports development.
