Lebanese Prime Minister Reaffirms Government’s Commitment to Advancing Reforms

Beirut: Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam affirmed his government's commitment to advancing reforms, rebuilding state institutions, and consolidating sovereignty across all Lebanese territories. The remarks came during a meeting in Beirut on Monday with a delegation from the US Treasury Department and the White House National Security Council, led by Sebastian Gorka, Deputy Assistant to the US President for Counterterrorism. The meeting reviewed progress in border control and the regulation of movement for people and goods.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions also covered the Lebanese government's efforts to enhance transparency and enforce regulatory laws in the financial sector, aiming to restore trust and align with international standards, as well as the deployment of the Lebanese army in the south and other regions to support stability.
