Post: Lebanese Schools to Shelter Displaced Southerners, Says Interior Minister

Public schools across parts of Lebanon will be opened as shelters for those displaced from the south of the country as Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) are continuing large-scale air strikes since this morning. In a statement, caretaker Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi urged the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces and all security agencies, as well as governors, to follow up on the massive displacement from the southern regions and shelter them. Meanwhile, Caretaker Minister of Education and Higher Education Abbas Al Halabi announced the schools and universities across Lebanon will be closed for tomorrow. So far, IOF air strikes have killed 182 dead and injured 727 including children, women and paramedics. Hundreds of Lebanese families were forced to flee towards the capital Beirut and mountain villages, with most of their southern villages being shelled. Source: Qatar News Agency
