Lusail: Lusail Sports Club on Sunday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Qatar Foundation for Social Work. The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation during the 2026-2027 sporting season and support community initiatives and projects focused on empowering and integrating persons with disabilities into society. According to Qatar News Agency, expanding their previous partnership, the MoU will see both parties widen the scope of their joint activities and activate a number of community programs and initiatives during the new season. There is a particular focus on promoting the participation of persons with disabilities in sports and community activities and events. The MoU comes as Lusail SC prepares to compete in the Under-17 League during the 2026-2027 season, with Qatar Social Work's logo featuring on Lusail SC's First Division jerseys. This serves as a manifestation of sports' role as a platform for promoting awareness, participation, and social responsibility. Boosting cooperation with Qatar Social Work is part of Lusail SC's efforts to foster sustainable partnerships that contribute to serving the community and support initiatives aimed at empowering and integrating people with disabilities, the Club noted. This aligns with the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Ministry of Sports and Youth's efforts to enhance sporting institutions' role in community development.
