Post: Mada Center Launches Digital Consultation Platform for Disability Policies

Doha:The Qatar Assistive Technology Center has introduced a digital platform for its Advisory Team, aimed at assisting persons with disabilities and their families. This platform creates an avenue for active participation in consultations regarding policies, services, and initiatives that impact persons with disabilities, their families, and associated organizations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the platform enables users to engage with consultation topics and share their insights, experiences, and expertise. It also facilitates government entities and institutions in presenting issues within their jurisdictions for consultation. The feedback gathered is expected to influence the development of policies, services, and initiatives.

Maha Mohammed Al Mansouri, CEO of Mada, emphasized that the platform underscores the principle of full and effective participation as outlined in Law No. 22 of 2025 concerning Persons with Disabilities. This new tool aims to promote an ongoing consultation process that values listening, partnership, and the incorporation of the lived experiences of those directly affected.

Since its establishment in 2010, Mada Center has been committed to enhancing digital inclusion and accessibility for persons with disabilities and the elderly. The center's initiatives include inclusive education, employment, entrepreneurship, community empowerment, and research in assistive technology. Additionally, it develops Arabic-language assistive technology solutions and aids institutions in creating accessible digital platforms and services that meet international standards, offering accessibility training, advisory services, and awareness programs.
