Post: MAKARY DISCUSSES JOURNALISTS’ PROTECTION WITH SUPPORT COMMITTEE

Caretaker Information Minister, Ziad Makary, on Wednesday met with the "Committee to Support Journalists" led by Hassan Shaaban. The meeting addressed the state of Lebanese media, focusing on journalists' freedoms, protections, and rights. Shaaban highlighted the committee's concerns and Minister Makary's responsive efforts to defend journalism. They agreed to share reports on media freedoms and challenges in Lebanon and the Arab world. The also discussion included ensuring the safety of journalists in southern Lebanon.
