Doha: HE President of the Republic of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Muizzu called on Arab and Islamic countries to unite in condemning and rejecting the Israeli aggression against the State of Qatar, labeling it a violation of international law and an affront to Qatar's sovereignty and mediation efforts.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, President Muizzu characterized the Israeli attack on Qatar as a crime against humanity and a provocation against regional stability. He emphasized that Qatar's central role in mediation and peace efforts makes the attack an assault on the region's collective efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
President Muizzu highlighted Israel's repeated assaults against Palestinians and questioned the extent of Israel's actions, which he described as military aggression. He attributed these practices to Israel's impunity and the international community's failure to hold it accountable.
The President reaffirmed that the attack on Qatar was an attack on all Arab and Islamic nations, emphasizing the inseparable security of Qatar and the region. He called for coordinated efforts to hold Israel accountable, urging support for Qatar's mediation efforts and sending a unified message rejecting Israel's impunity.
