According to Qatar News Agency, the South African side drew 1-1 with the Moroccan club on Sunday in a dramatic second leg. AS FAR took the lead through a penalty converted by forward Mohamed Rabie Hrimat in the 40th minute, before Teboho Mokoena equalized for Sundowns deep into first-half stoppage time. Hrimat missed a second penalty for the Moroccan side in the 73rd minute, while Sundowns maintained their defensive discipline and focus to preserve the draw. The South African club secured the continental title after winning the first leg 1-0. It marked Sundowns' second African title after previously winning the competition in 2016.
