Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding strong winds that are expected to impact certain areas during the day on Tuesday, along with strong winds and high seas offshore.
According to Qatar News Agency, the daily weather report indicates that inshore conditions until 6:00 p.m. will be hot to very hot, with the possibility of slight dust to blowing dust occurring in some areas intermittently.
Offshore, the forecast predicts the weather to be partly cloudy at times. The inshore winds are anticipated to be northwesterly to northerly, blowing at speeds of 10-20 knots (KT), with gusts potentially reaching up to 30 KT in some areas during the day. Offshore winds are expected to be westerly to northwesterly at 8-18 KT, with gusts reaching up to 25 KT at times.
The sea state inshore is projected to range between 1 and 4 feet, occasionally rising to 5 feet, while offshore seas will vary between 2 and 5 feet, potentially rising to 8 feet at times. Inshore visibility is expected to range between 4 and 9 kilometers, possibly dropping to 3 kilometers or less in some areas at times. Offshore, visibility is likely to range between 5 and 10 kilometers.
