Meteorology Warns of Strong Wind, Poor Horizontal Visibility, High Sea

Doha: Inshore weather until 6:00 pm on Thursday will be hot to very hot daytime with blowing dust at places and scattered to partly cloudy at times, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report, warning of expected strong wind and poor horizontal visibility. Offshore, it will see scattered clouds with slight dust at times, the report added, warning of strong wind and high sea.

According to Qatar News Agency, the wind inshore will be northwesterly at a speed of 18 - 28 KT, gusting to 28 KT at places daytime. Offshore, it will be northwesterly at a speed of 12 - 22 KT, gusting to 33 KT at places. The sea state inshore will be 1 - 3 ft, while offshore will be 4 - 7 ft, rising to 10 ft at places. Visibility inshore will be 4 - 8 km / 2 km or less at places daytime, while offshore will be 4 - 9 km.

Additional details provided indicate high and low tide timings across various regions. In Doha, high tides are expected at 11:00 and 19:55, with low tides at 03:51 and 15:05. The temperature is forecasted to range from a minimum of 37 to a maximum of 45 degrees Celsius.
