Mexico City: Data released by Mexico's National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) showed that Mexico's consumer price inflation increased further in May to the highest level in six months.
According to Qatar News Agency, the consumer price index climbed 4.42% year-on-year in May, faster than the 3.93% rise in April.
Data showed that core inflation also rose to 4.06% in May from 3.93% in the previous month.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices moved up 0.28% in May after rising 0.33% in the prior month.
