Cali: HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie held several meetings with Colombian officials during his participation in the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity. The conference, which started on October 21 in Cali, Colombia, is set to conclude tomorrow. According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Al Subaie met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Colombia Luis Gilberto Murillo, HE Colombian Minister of Environment Susana Muhamad, HE Deputy Minister of Mines and Energy of Colombia Johana Rocha Gomez, and Executive Secretary of the Convention on Migratory Species in Colombia Amy Fraenkel. The discussions focused on shared issues, emphasizing international efforts to preserve biodiversity and promoting environmental protection and sustainability. The meetings also highlighted the efforts of both countries in combating the impacts of climate change, aiming to strengthen collaborative measures in th ese areas.
