Minister of Justice Appoints Members to Real Estate Registration Committee

Doha: HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Muhannadi has issued a decision naming the members of the Real Estate Registration Committee at the Ministry of Justice. The committee, established to enhance the efficiency of real estate registration services, will be chaired by Director of the Real Estate Registration Department Mohammed Hassan Alrumaihi, with Assistant Director Talib Ali Al Marri serving as vice-chairman.

According to Qatar News Agency, the committee will also comprise Abdulkarim Hamoud Al Ruwaili from the Department of State Cases, Ali Manikher Al Hajri from the office for shared services, and representatives from the Ministry of Municipality, including Ghanem Mohammed Al Kubaisi, Talal Nayef Al Shammari, and Nasser Ghanem Al Kuwari. Nasser Muhanna Al Mannai will represent the Ministry of Social Development and Family.

The formation of the committee is part of the Ministry of Justice's efforts to meet citizens' needs and provide appropriate solutions for real estate applications. HE the Minister of Justice has also issued executive decisions for Law No. (5) of 2024, which regulates real estate registration.

The newly established committee is tasked with deciding on applications to register unregistered properties within city and town boundaries and considering any objections related to property valuations, registration, or recording fees. Additionally, it will address ownership issues of unregistered or expropriated properties for public benefit and handle objections related to state property, along with any other responsibilities defined in the executive regulations of the law.
