Minister of Justice Highlights Digital Advancements in Real Estate Sector

Doha: HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim bin Ali bin Issa Al Hassan Al Mohannadi, has commended the recent advancements in the real estate sector, particularly the introduction of digital services. These include the updated Sakk program, which now boasts automated electronic services that integrate with the Qatar Digital ID (QDI) system, and the introduction of video communication programs. Additionally, the executive regulations and decisions for Law No. (5) of 2024, which regulate real estate registration, have been issued and activated.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Justice aims to streamline real estate registration and documentation processes with efficiency and quality. The ministry is committed to fully digitizing its services, promoting transparency, safeguarding rights and properties, easing real estate transactions, and bolstering the country's investment climate. These efforts are in line with Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Third National Development Strategy, which seek to elevate the real estate sector's contribution to the nation's comprehensive growth.

This announcement was made during a meeting with the Real Estate Registration Department at the Ministry of Justice. The meeting was attended by HE Undersecretary of the Ministry Saeed bin Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary for Real Estate Registration Affairs Amer Saeed Al Ghafri, along with directors and sector heads from the ministry's service centers and external branches.

The Minister also remarked that these achievements mark a new phase for the Real Estate Registration Department, aligning with leadership directives to enhance client services, simplify transaction processes, and improve public service through digital transformation. This includes offering self-executing transactions without the need for human intervention.

He highlighted that the Real Estate Registration Department is crucial in interacting with citizens and clients, increasing its responsibility to streamline procedures, enhance the work environment, and expand digital transformation. This adaptation is essential in keeping pace with technological advances and leveraging state-provided capabilities to serve citizens, residents, and investors following international best practices.

The meeting further addressed the recent initiatives by the Real Estate Registration Department and the new electronic services that have been activated, aligned with the executive regulations and decisions of the Real Estate Registration Law.
