Minister of Public Health Engages in Strategic Health Discussions with Tunisian, Finnish Counterparts and Global Health Leaders

Geneva: HE Minister of Public Health Mansoor bin Ebrahim bin Saad Al Mahmoud met Tuesday separately with HE Minister of Health of the Republic of Tunisia Dr. Mustapha Al Ferjani, and HE Minister of Social Security and Health of the Republic of Finland Sanni Grahn-Laasonen. During the meetings, they discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and both Tunisia and Finland, exploring ways to enhance them in the health sector, as well as key topics addressed at the ongoing World Health Assembly in Geneva, under the theme "One World for Health."

According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Minister of Public Health also held separate meetings with Executive Director of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria Peter Sands, and Marisol Touraine, President of UNITAID, an international organization partnering with the World Health Organization to promote equitable access to healthcare in low-income countries. During the meetings, they discussed cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Global Fund, as well as UNITAID, addressing urgent healthcare priorities in the region and worldwide.
