Ministry of Labour Undersecretary Engages with Singapore Officials on Labour Market Strategies

Singapore: HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour Sheikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman Al-Thani today held a series of technical meetings with officials from the Ministry of Manpower and relevant authorities in the Republic of Singapore. The discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and reviewing Singapore's labour market policies.

According to Qatar News Agency, Her Excellency engaged with representatives from the Workplace Policy and Strategy Division, SkillsFuture Singapore, and the Foreign Manpower Policy Division. The meetings focused on exchanging insights on workforce development strategies and the policies prioritizing the employment of citizens.

The dialogue also addressed mechanisms for skills development and aligning training outcomes with the demands of the labour market. These discussions are part of an effort to enhance the cooperation between the two nations in managing workforce efficiency.

Further discussions involved Singapore's work permit system and the policies related to the recruitment and employment of foreign workers. The objective was to understand the procedures that ensure a balanced labour market while effectively managing workforce resources.
