Doha: The Ministry of Municipality, through its Department of Agricultural Affairs, has announced the launch of online applications for obtaining technical licenses necessary for conducting business in the agricultural sector. This initiative is aimed at assisting owners of companies and institutions involved in importing, exporting, trading, producing, processing, and manufacturing pesticides, fertilizers, soil conditioners, seeds, seedlings, and plants.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry highlighted in a post on X that all applications must be submitted through its website within a 60-day period from the announcement date. The Ministry emphasized the importance of adhering to this deadline for all relevant parties to complete their procedures in a timely manner.
In addition, the Department of Agricultural Affairs has also initiated an online application process for local agricultural companies seeking approval to import restricted fertilizers, such as nitrate fertilizers and their additives. These approvals are essential for selling to farms preparing for the 2026/2027 agricultural season.
Applications for these import approvals must be submitted via the Ministry's official website between April 15 and April 20. The Ministry has made it clear that no applications will be entertained after the stipulated deadline.
