Doha: The Ministry of Sports and Youth team emerged victorious in the 2025 Ministries and Government Entities Futsal Championship, securing a 3-1 win against the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs' team.
According to Qatar News Agency, the championship was organized by the Qatar Sports For All Federation (QSFA) at the Lusail Sports Hall. The Ministry of Municipality team achieved third place by defeating the General Authority of Customs team with a 2-0 scoreline.
QSFA President Abdulrahman bin Musallam Al Dosari expressed satisfaction with the event's successful execution and the display of sportsmanship throughout the competition. He highlighted that the championship has become a significant annual event, embraced by government employees for its combination of athletic competition and social interaction.
Al Dosari congratulated the Ministry of Sports and Youth team on their victory and reiterated QSFA's dedication to promoting corporate sports and encouraging physical activity among employees as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Executive Director of QSFA Abdullah Al Dosari mentioned that the championship featured participation from 10 teams representing various ministries and government entities over a month-long period. He commended the intense competition and the enthusiastic support from the audience.
The QSFA, through this championship and other initiatives, aims to integrate sports into workplace culture and support futsal enthusiasts within government institutions. The championship is seen as a means of promoting teamwork and enhancing work environments through sports, aligning with the Ministry of Sports and Youth's objectives.
