Doha: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced the introduction of an electronic service by the General Directorate of Passports' Search and Follow-up Department, enabling users to pay financial claims through the MoI's website and the Metrash App.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry revealed on its X account that the new service facilitates the payment of fees, fines, and travel ticket costs conveniently. Users can access this service by navigating to the "Security" section, selecting "Financial Claims," choosing between the "Personal" and "Establishment" options, identifying the due payment, accessing "Records," and completing the payment process directly online.
In a related announcement, the Ministry outlined the requirements and conditions for obtaining a driving license as per the procedures established by the General Directorate of Traffic. The essential criteria include Proof of Identity, a Personal Photo, passing a Medical Examination, and holding a valid Residence Permit for residents. The driving license eligibility requires individuals to be at least 18 years old for a light vehicle license and 21 years old for other vehicle types.
The Ministry emphasized the necessity of enrolling in an accredited driving school and successfully passing both theoretical and practical tests. Once these tests are passed, the driving license can be printed via Metrash, the MoI website, or through Traffic Offices at Driving schools.
