Moroccan, Iraqi Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Ties


Rabat: Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein, who is visiting Rabat, discussed aspects of enhancing bilateral relations on Saturday. The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the two nations.



According to Qatar News Agency, the two sides also touched on a number of Arab and regional issues. They emphasized their countries’ firm and continuous support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to establish an independent state based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.



The meeting culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding for mutual exemption from entry visas for holders of diplomatic passports between Morocco and Iraq. This agreement marks a significant step in facilitating diplomatic engagement and cooperation between the two countries.
