Geneva, MP Abdulnabi Salman, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, chaired part of the 149th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) meetings held in Geneva, Switzerland, from October 13-17. The session featured speeches from parliamentary leaders and representatives on the theme " Harnessing Science and Technology for a More Peaceful and Sustainable Future." Bahrain's parliamentary group, led by Jamal Mohammed Fakhro, First Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, continued its participation in the IPU General Assembly and committee meetings.
