Post: Muscat Stock Exchange Trading Value Reaches OMR 6.9 Billion by End-H1 2026

Muscat: The main index of the Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) rose by 66.8 percent by the end of June 2026 to reach 7,507.9 points, compared with 4,500.9 points at the end of June 2025.

According to Qatar News Agency, the latest data issued by the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) shows a significant increase in the value of securities traded, which surged by 654.8 percent to reach OMR 6,923.403 million. The total number of securities traded also saw a significant rise by 337.4 percent, amounting to 23,157.424 million securities.

The data further revealed that the Financial Sector Index stood at 13,085 points by the end of June 2026. Meanwhile, the Industrial Sector Index reached 9,757 points, and the Services Sector Index was at 3,050 points.

In the area of net investor transactions during the first half of 2026, foreign investors recorded net buying of OMR 73.877 million. Conversely, Omani investors recorded net selling of OMR 773,000. GCC investors showed net selling of OMR 66.983 million, while Arab investors recorded net selling of OMR 6.121 million.
